From Hidden Talent to Certified Skill: Microcredentials for Teachers OPEN SEATS
Wednesday June 4, 2025 2:15pm - 3:30pm MDT
Teachers do incredible work every day—mentoring peers, leading initiatives, supporting diverse learners—but too often those skills stay hidden in our own classrooms or go unrecognized. Utah’s microcredential system offers a way to turn your expertise into visible, portable, and verified recognition aligned with state standards.
In this hands-on session, you’ll:
Learn what microcredentials are and why they matter for teachers
Explore the list of available Utah microcredentials
Draft your 2025 CTESS professional growth goal aligned to a microcredential
Start planning your pathway to completion
Set personal reminders to help you stay on track
Whether you’re looking to showcase your strengths, grow your skills, or take a step toward leadership, microcredentials offer a flexible, teacher-driven way to get USBE credit for what you do best. Leave this session with a plan in place—and a head start on next year.
