Participants will learn how to navigate the Canva homepage and editor, experiment with a variety of ways to get started designing, and learn editing tips and tricks to create visually engaging classroom resources such as presentations, posters, and infographics.

Expand your design and creation skills in Canva. You’ll experiment with advanced editing, layering, and customization techniques to create engaging materials. We will also cover Canva’s new Polls & Quizzes feature. Get advanced insider editing tips to impress students and colleagues, and elevate your classroom with Canva.

Level: Intermediate/Advanced

*Please note, if you are newer to Canva, this is an Intermediate/Advanced session. If you have not already mastered ALL of the below skills, please attend the previous Canva session: Unlock creativity in the classroom with Canva prior to attending this more advanced session:
    • Login to Canva
    • Switch which Canva team you are working in
    • Find all of your previous Canva projects and sort projects
    • Add new folders in the Projects tab
    • Import resources from other sources to Canva, including PDF’s, images, slides, etc.
    • Copy Canva projects from one team to another
    • Search and use the filters to find Canva templates to get started
    • Know how to rename your design
    • Search and filter Canva’s design elements (images, videos, audio, graphics, etc.) to add in the Canva editor
    • Basic element editing: changing hex code colors on graphics, removing the background of a photo, flipping an element, playing with layers of elements, etc.
    • Add and edit text
    • Different ways you can share/present your Canva creation
